Our client is a leading Australian financial services provider is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Workforce Optimisation Lead to play a critical role in shaping the future workforce on an initial 12-month fixed term contract.
This position sits at the intersection of strategy, transformation, workforce planning and organisational change, providing enterprise-level insight into how workforce structure, capability and operating models evolve in response to business priorities, automation and emerging technologies.
About The Role
Working closely with Senior leaders and transformation teams, you will develop forward-looking workforce scenarios, assess organisational impacts of change, and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to support executive decision-making.
* Analyse major transformation initiatives and assess their impact on workforce structure, capability and role design
* Develop integrated workforce plans aligned to business strategy, financial objectives and organisational priorities
* Build scenario models to assess financial, operational and people-related risks and opportunities
* Translate complex data and insights into clear, executive-level recommendations and communications
* Support workforce optimisation initiatives, including organisational redesign, automation and workforce reskilling programs
* Partner with senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, Strategy and Transformation to align workforce planning with enterprise objectives
* Track workforce trends and continuously refine models to support ongoing strategic decision-making
About you
* Experience in workforce planning, strategy, organisational change, management consulting or a similar analytical role within a complex organisation
* Strong analytical capability with the ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative data into meaningful insights
* Experience developing scenario plans and supporting workforce or organisational transformation initiatives
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior and executive stakeholders
* Commercially minded, with sound financial acumen and the ability to assess business case impacts
* Understanding of how automation, AI and digital transformation influence workforce design (highly regarded)
* Tertiary qualification in Business, HR, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred)
