The Opportunity
Safety is our top priority, and as a Project Supervisor at Austal, your primary responsibility will be to manage daily site operations for assigned projects. You will coordinate with relevant trades to ensure tasks are completed within specified timeframes, to the required quality standards, and in line with project objectives.
This senior supervisory role plays a crucial part in developing personnel through mentoring and training to become future Project Managers.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Plan daily and weekly task requirements for your team members.
* Identify potential risks or constraints that may impact task delivery and consult with key stakeholders.
* Assist in compiling and submitting reports as required.
* Monitor the execution of procedures and provide feedback to the QA department to ensure they remain relevant.
* Coordinate subcontractors, including requesting quotations, raising purchase orders, and ensuring works align with specifications.
What We're Looking For
We require an experienced professional who can take on this challenging role.
Essential Requirements:
* Hold a Construction Safety Induction (white card).
* Possess a trade qualification in a relevant field.
* Have experience in a supervisory role.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Defence or commercial experience.
* Maintenance operations – marine or ship repair experience.
