Responsible for overseeing the comprehensive maintenance and repair operations of vehicles and ground support equipment, including diagnostic troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and timely repairs. Collaborates with team members to ensure adherence to safety standards, optimize equipment performance, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
* Vehicles Preventive Maintenance Planning and Repair: Repair, modify and troubleshoot all ground equipment, company vehicles and machinery in local and overseas regions as requested. Investigate and diagnose source of trouble, disassemble equipment and perform repairs.
* Maintenance Cost & Performance Review and Analysis: Evaluate periodically the operational requirements and performance, equipment, vehicles and tools to manage cost.
* Vehicles & GSE Planning & Maintenance: Conduct operational planning and scheduling, assist in inspecting and accepting vehicles and equipment, and arrange disposition of vehicles under manager's direction.
* Vehicle Compliance: Maintain a clean, safe work area in accordance with corporate standards; ensure that company tools and equipment are properly used. Ensure that all employees observe safety rules and maintain the work area in a safe and orderly manner.
* Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service histories for each vehicle and piece of equipment, maintaining organized documentation for compliance and reference purposes.
* Manage Inventory: Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts, fluids, and consumables required for maintenance and repairs, ensuring adequate supplies are available to support operations.
* May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Education
* Technical diploma or equivalent in automobile engineering or related fields.
Experience
* Standard: Three (3) years of work experience in working with automotive or heavy equipment.
* Senior: Four (4) years of work experience in working with automotive or heavy equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Good knowledge of automotive mechanics, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems is fundamental.
* High accuracy & attention to detail.
* Great planning & organizing skills.
* Excellent team‐working skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Trade certification in heavy vehicle mechanic trade e.g., certificate 3 heavy vehicle road transport.
* HR or HC licence preferred but not essential.
