UNDERGROUND MINE SURVEYOR
Fosterville Gold Mine invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Underground Mine Surveyor. The primary purpose of this position is to provide all survey requirements for the underground mine operations (and at times surface operations) while ensuring all statutory requirements and company safety, health and environmental standards and procedures are met.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, duties will include:
* Develop and maintain a robust survey control network (U/G and surface), including database maintenance and resurvey work.
* Maintain/update daily reports and maintain the integrity of survey digital records.
* Surface set outs and pickups using GPS and UAV
* Communicate with Technical and Operating Departments to ensure all production and development requirements are being met.
* Set out and pickups for development, production, diamond drilling programs and sundry activities.
* Provision of survey support to other departments as required.
* Accurate/timely provision of EOM physical surveys and reporting
* Maintain all survey equipment (cleaning, calibrating, etc)
* Maintain and update Emergency Plans as per statutory requirements
The successful candidate should possess the following:
* A strong commitment to safe work practices
* Tertiary surveying qualifications
* A minimum of 2 years industry experience in metalliferous underground operations.
* Deswik software and Leica/Trimble instrument experience desirable.
* Remote Pilots Licence (RePL) and Hovermap experience desirable.
* Current Driver's License (Manual)

* Display high levels of analysis / problem solving skills and the ability to work unsupervised, managing work priorities and scheduling of tasks
* Have effective communication skills and be able to work well within a team environment
* Be able to communicate the need and seek out support when opportunities for improvement are identified
* Be accountable for delivering on commitments
* Build collaborative relationships
* Be able to train other survey team members
The roster for this position will be 8 Days on 6 Days off (11 hours per day) with a 7:00 am start.
