Permits Officer – Traffic Management
Our client is a local city council seeking a Permits Officer to support the application process for public works on their roads. Your new role will see you approving applications for works on road ways across the council remit. You will also ensure works planned won't cause unnecessary disruptions to regular traffic and plan accordingly. As a qualified specialist in traffic management planning you will ensure applications for works incorporate and meet guidance schemes and industry standards.
Skills and Experience:
* Trained and qualified in worksite Traffic Management (TMD1 - RIISS00063 + TC1 - RIISS00058 + TMI1 - RIISS00060)
* Ability to interpret and administer relevant legislation including Council's Local Laws
* The ability to understand and interpret plans, specifications and other documentation for the purpose of assessing whether traffic management plans meet Council requirements
* Demonstrated experience of review and processing permits
* Prior council/ government experience is highly advantageous
Our client is offering an initial 3 month contract with the potential to extend. Offices are based in Melbourne's inner northern suburbs.
