Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Compass Group. This is a full-time position working 42 weeks per year, with opportunities to learn new skills and progress your career.
About the Role
* Plan, supervise, and monitor food production in a dynamic and vibrant environment.
* Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students, providing delicious and healthy dining experiences.
* Ensure contract compliance by understanding the scope of work required.
* Responsible for stock control, budgets, rostering, mentoring & training both FOH and BOH staff.
* Adhere to hygiene standards and follow proper food handling practices.
* Exceptional back of house control, costing and percentage management is expected.
The Person We Are Looking For
* An experienced Chef Manager with a minimum Cert III Commercial Cookery qualification within a similar environment.
* A current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills to motivate teams.
* A strong understanding of allergen management and food safety.
* Computer skills are mandatory.
* A passion for nutrition, sustainability, and locally sourced seasonal produce.
