**Instrumental Music Teacher (Independent Contractor)**

**Hourly Pay**: $40-$60 per hour (based on experience), plus 0.25 hours per week of planning time.

**About the Role**
We're seeking enthusiastic and dedicated instrumental music teachers to join our team. Whether you specialize in piano, guitar, violin, or other instruments, we welcome you to bring your expertise to our growing academy. This role is ideal for musicians who are passionate about teaching and want to work independently in their home studio.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Teach private, one-on-one lessons to students ranging from young children to adults.
- Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and goals.
- Communicate with parents, guardians, and students regarding progress and goals.
- Maintain accurate student attendance records via our online system (MyMusicStaff).
- Prepare students for recitals and exams, if applicable.
- Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

**About You**
We're looking for individuals who:
- Are proficient in their instrument(s) and capable of teaching beginners to intermediate students.
- Have a passion for teaching and inspiring students of all ages.
- Can work independently and manage their own time effectively.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a reliable and welcoming home studio environment for lessons.
- Are open to feedback and willing to participate in annual performance reviews.
**Preferred but Not Required**:
- Teaching experience or music-related qualifications.
- Ability to teach multiple instruments.
**Requirements**:
- Must hold or be willing to obtain an Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). Support will be provided for both processes if needed.
- Must have a reliable internet connection for communication and administrative tasks.

**Hours**
- Flexible: 5-30 hours per week, depending on your availability and student demand.
