Caseworker - Job Description
About the Role
Caseworkers play a vital role in supporting young offenders and helping them to overcome challenges. This position requires strong intervention skills, with the aim of reducing re-offending.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage dual roles of monitoring young offenders' compliance with court orders and intervening to address issues that place them at risk of re-offending.
* Work proactively to reduce re-offending using culturally appropriate assessment and intervention skills.
* Prepare and present reports to the Children's Court on behalf of the Chief Executive.
* Conduct pre and post court interviews, prepare quality reports, affidavits, and other relevant documentation.
* Undertake record keeping and information management tasks to ensure accountability.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A tertiary degree relevant to the role such as social work, behavioural science or social science, criminology, or other recognised degree.
* A valid Blue Card to be linked with the organisation prior to commencement.
* An unrestricted 'C' Class driver's license.
