About Our Client
We are seeking a couple to oversee the day-to-day running of a well-established pastoral station. The role will suit a couple with broad livestock and property experience who thrive on working together and are comfortable living remotely.
Job Responsibilities:
The Couple will be responsible for leading operations including livestock management, team leadership, infrastructure projects, and general station oversight. They will report directly to the managing partner and have input into strategic decisions and improvements as the station works towards modernisation.
* Livestock Management: Oversee stock work, herd health, and seasonal planning.
* Team Leadership: Lead a small, capable team and supervise contractors.
* Property Improvements: Handle property improvements, maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades.
* Compliance and Safety: Maintain compliance and safety procedures.
* Administrative Tasks: Order fuel, stores, and other supplies. Submit timesheets and contractor invoices to head office.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have proven experience managing or co-managing a livestock property (ideally goats and/or cattle). You should be hands-on and practical with strong common sense. You are a confident people leader with mentoring ability. You are comfortable working to a budget and handling light administration. You have remote area experience essential - you understand what's involved in remote living. You hold a current driver's licence.
