We are a small dynamic firm acting in the areas of commercial litigation, corporate & commercial law and property. We service a range of SME's, startup's and property developers. We are committed to fostering genuine flexibility across our business to support individual, team and client needs. The firm is looking to recruit a lawyer with 2+ years PAE.
The Role
To be successful in this role, you will have sound commercial law experience and interest in:
* Conducting a variety of commercial law and property law matters, namely, general conveyancing experience, experience in preparing leases and working on leasing matters, experience in property development and experience in commercial transactions such as business sales and purchases, share sale and purchases and commercial agreements.
* Independent file management from initial client conference through until conclusion of matter, providing clients with the consistency of a trusted legal advisor throughout the duration of their matter.
* Be involved in strategic business planning initiatives.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum of 2 years PAE.
* Experience completing property transactions using PEXA.
* Experience working in and managing a diverse range of commercial and property matters.
* Capacity to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment.
* Self-confidence, even in unfamiliar environments.
* Ability to work autonomously and seek out expert advice when required.
* Excellent legal drafting skills, a commitment to precision in language and the use of plain English drafting.
* A proactive approach, with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Advanced interpersonal skills including active listening skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
* Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
* Expertise in business development and client relationship maintenance.
* A commitment to building professional relationships of trust and mutual respect both within the firm and with our client base.
