Lead Civil Engineer – Major Copper-Gold Development (DFS Phase) Join a Flagship Project in Southeast Asia Join a cornerstone resources project at the centre of our Client’s strategic growth across Australia and the Asia–Pacific region. This DFS represents one of the organisation’s highest-visibility studies, with senior leadership actively involved and a high level of resourcing already committed. As Lead Civil Engineer, you will define the civil engineering strategy for bulk earthworks, upstream infrastructure, and site-wide platforms-establishing the technical foundations that will guide this Tier-1 copper–gold asset through all stages of development. You’ll also gain exposure to a broader pipeline of major projects, positioning yourself for ongoing engagement as new studies and developments begin. Key Responsibilities L ead the process plant civil design for the DFS, including earthworks quantities, civil datasheets, reinforced concrete foundation design, and layout development Convert BoP bulk-earthworks concepts into detailed civil designs for mills, flotation cells, thickeners, MCC/TEC buildings, pipe racks, and utility corridors. Manage cross-discipline interfaces (geotech, hydrology, structural, process, vendors) to ensure civil designs meet slope stability, seismic, liquefaction and stormwater requirements. Guide earthworks optimisation in steep, high-rainfall terrain (>2,500 mm/year), including cut/fill balancing, erosion control, water management, and 1:100-year flood considerations. Oversee constructability reviews, sequencing logic, and civil inputs to Class 3 cost estimates and schedules. Provide technical leadership on Philippine civil standards, particularly NSCP and DENR requirements relevant to site development, drainage, and environmental compliance. Ensure seamless handover between BoP (bulk earthworks) and Process Plant Civils while maintaining iterative collaboration as the design develops. About You We are looking for a senior civil engineer who brings genuine project delivery insight from complex mining environments. You do not need to match every line item—but you should feel confident leading process-plant civils in challenging terrain. We’d love to hear from you if you have: 10 years in civil/geotechnical engineering for mining or heavy process facilities, with DFS/FEED experience for large open-pit Cu-Au or similar projects. Strong capability in earthworks optimisation, slope stability integration, and design of reinforced concrete foundations for mills, flotation, thickeners, and other process plant equipment. Experience with Civil 3D, Deswik, and geotechnical/seismic tools such as Slide2. Familiarity with tropical hydrology: major storm event routing, drainage design in steep valleys, erosion control, and water-management strategies in wet climates. A background in leading or mentoring discipline teams, coordinating vendors, and supporting constructability reviews and feasibility-level estimating. Roster & Conditions Monday to Friday Hybrid options available 40-hour week plus approved overtime Initial 12-month contract aligned with DFS timelines Competitive rates Why apply? This is a rare opportunity to lead civil engineering on a technically demanding, strategically significant project. You will work with a high-calibre study team, tackle complex terrain and tropical hydrology challenges, and produce outputs that directly inform downstream design and execution planning. The role offers exceptional visibility across the Client’s APAC and global network, creating strong pathways for career progression and involvement in future major studies and developments across the portfolio. This is your chance to influence a world-class mining development and step into a role that offers you an unparalleled platform to accelerate your career.
