What will be my responsibilities? You will join one of our agile development teams developing innovative traffic solutions for highways and tunnels in projects worldwide. The S/W Application Engineer will report directly to the S/W Development Manager and will work closely with the System Architect for all the respective S/W Coordination and Development activities of the assigned Projects. As an agile software developer, you will closely collaborate with your team, Product Owner, customers, and experts in the organization to bring your product to success. You will carry out coordination with customer, other contractors, involved authorities, system assurance and R&D teams concerning the system interfaces. You will be actively participating throughout the entire development lifecycle in a DevOps environment, including involvement when it comes to production deployments. In addition to regular test automation, you will conclude testing of your product functionality in a simulation test environment or with real hardware. You will contribute to technical software architecture and interface to 3rd party systems. You will design and build software that is highly available, scalable, and expandable You will be involved in Testing and Commissioning of the products to be delivered to the customers. You will design and build software integrated in DevOps methodology based on Gitlab Platform. What do I need to qualify for this job? More than 5 years of working experience in relevant roles for infrastructure projects Object Oriented Software programming skills, programming knowledge of C++ Be a team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to foster a positive work environment Be self-dependent with a high level of initiative, impact and result-orientation Possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills in English What else do I need to know? The following skills are desirable and will be considered as an asset: International project experience, experience in other tunnel projects in Australia and knowledge of international standards and local regulations University Degree in Software and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
