About the Role
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. As a Fitter & Turner, you’ll be working within a dedicated, close-knit team and will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and fault-finding of industrial pumping equipment. You’ll also travel to client sites across NSW, with occasional overnight stays (1–2 weeks per month).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of industrial pump systems
- Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics
- Operate and interpret engineering measuring devices to calculate dimensions and tolerances
- Work both on-site and in the workshop as required
- Follow safety procedures and company protocols
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery
Skills & Qualifications Essential:
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
- 1–2 years’ experience in maintenance and fault finding
- Valid Australian ‘C’ class manual driver’s licence
- Forklift licence
- White card
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to pass regular drug & alcohol testing
- Physically fit and comfortable working in challenging environments
- Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability
- Ability to work independently and within a small team
- Willingness to travel and stay away for work when required
