About Monash Health

Monash Health is Victoria's largest and most comprehensive health service. For more than 170 years, Monash Health and its predecessors have provided safe, high-quality healthcare for people at every life stage. With 25,500 employees, we provide care to south-eastern metropolitan Melbourne and rural Victoria from over 40 locations, via telehealth, within local communities and in people's homes.

About Monash Children's

Monash Children's Hospital is one of Australia's leading providers of integrated children's health services, with more than 30 specialist services and programs. We have Victoria's largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and provide leading paediatric services in many areas including Rehabilitation, Oncology, Diabetes and Eating Disorders.

About The Role

These positions provide an exciting opportunity to join the paediatric endocrinology team at Monash Childrens' Hospital. The role includes outpatient clinics in diabetes and endocrinology, working closely with the multidisciplinary team in the Department of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes and participation in a pro rata on call roster.

These permanent positions aim to increase individual SMS fractions to reduce fragmentation and improve workforce structure. The successful candidates on larger fractions will attract clinical support time and portfolios covering quality and safety, research and teaching are available. You will be expected to provide supervision of junior staff and be involved in teaching of junior medical staff and medical students. Research is an integral component of the department, and you will be expected to participate in this.

Several positions are available totalling 1.18 EFT, with at least two new positions of 0.45 EFT. It is expected that the clinical support time will be used to contribute to the performance of the unit in one of the above portfolios. The incumbents will be expected to participate in additional unit activities as requested by Head of Unit.
