**The role**
The opportunity now arises for a Transport Coordinator (FCL/LCL Specialist) to join the Sydney team. Currently, searching for someone who is hard-working and has a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
**Your main duties**:
- Liaise with shipping lines, overseas company offices, and agents, freight forwarders, carriers, internal and external customers to ensure smooth movement of documentation and freight.
- Coordinate with customers and warehouse to book slots, and arrange delivery schedules to/from customers' premises, depots, and wharfs.
- Arrange and coordinate FCL/LCL.
- Preparing and processing import documents, such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and import permits.
- Prepare documentation for our transport contractors and ensure that all Customs & Quarantine requirements are met.
- Monitor cargo availability and arrange cartage delivery to customers.
- Monitor and follow up empty container status and organise de-hire within the container detention free time.
- Respond to customer inquiries, ensuring a high standard of customer service is provided at all times and resolving any issues that arise during the import process.
- Use relevant systems to produce and control workflow coordination.
- Entering invoices to allow the Accounts Team to make timely payments
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Freight / transport / logistics experience and knowledge **(preferred)**:
- FCL/LCL container coordination experience
- Cartage coordination
- CargoWise experience & knowledge **(preferred)**:
- De-hiring containers within detention free time
- Monitoring driver performances **(to an extent)**:
- Have strong communication skills
- Solid time management and attention to detail
- Detail oriented with accuracy
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Suite
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced company with a strong growth agenda
