A$120,290.00/yr - A$129,379.00/yr

The department manages stations in Antarctica and Macquarie Island, each with independent energy systems including powerhouses, renewable energy sources, and building management systems.
The role involves working in remote, cold environments with complex electrical systems.
What we are looking for
Knowledge and experience
Technical knowledge in power generation and heat recovery systems.
Experience in electrical engineering areas such as building management systems, programming, and renewables (solar and wind).
Understanding of project lifecycles, design, performance, and maintenance.
Experience supervising electrical installations and testing in remote environments.
Knowledge of cold weather engineering challenges.
Ability to collaborate with specialists, contractors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications
Bachelor of engineering in Electrical Engineering from an Australian or equivalent overseas university.
At least 7 years of industry experience.
Chartered status (CPEng) is desirable.
