**About the role**:
The People, Performance and Culture team support employees nationally within Australia with our team based in both Melbourne and Adelaide. This role sits within the HR Operations team and is based in Melbourne.
Our close-knit team of HR Advisors play a key support role in delivering the people strategy across Hostplus, therefore being able to contribute to positive outcomes will see you succeed in this role.
Primarily, in this position you will:
- partner with people leaders to provide professional advice on all people related matters whilst having regard to relevant legal frameworks, policies, procedures and industrial instruments;
- managing end to end case management;
- building capability amongst people leaders;
- supporting in the uplift of the HR Operations team;
- ensuring Hostplus complies with WHS obligations; and
- influencing through strong working relationships with internal and external relationships.
**About you**:
To hit the ground running in your new role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline, such as Law (highly desirable)
- 5 years' experience in a similar role within the financial services industry
- A highly developed understanding of core and best practice HR principles
- The ability to develop, implement and ingrain HR Strategy within the business
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills combined
- The ability to develop sound working relationships and influence senior management
- Familiarity with Australian employment law
