Job Title: Executive Officer
Location: Faculty of Engineering, Darlington Campus
About the Opportunity:
The University of Sydney is seeking an experienced Executive Officer to provide high-level strategic advice and operational support to the Dean, Faculty General Manager, and the Faculty Executive. This role is integral to ensuring the Faculty is compliant with University policies, practices, and regulatory requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be To:
1. Support key stakeholders including the Dean, Deputy Dean, Faculty General Manager, and Faculty Executive.
2. Analyse and synthesise complex ideas to provide coherent summaries to the Executive.
3. Develop governance including reporting measures for monitoring risks.
4. Provide overall project management of key strategic initiatives.
5. Facilitate change process management.
6. Ensure general management of operational and administration processes aligns with University policies.
7. Ensure excellent communication is maintained across all University stakeholders.
About You:

1. Previous experience working within a tertiary or large multifaceted organisation.
2. Strong understanding of project management methodology, including processes, document, and reporting templates, and planning tools.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication, including the creation of briefs, reports, and papers.
4. Exemplary ability to record, prioritise, and understand responsibilities of governance and committees.
5. Ability to build and manage trusted stakeholder relationships at the senior level.
6. Ability to design tangible outcomes from strategic ideas and concepts.
7. Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering executive briefings in a complex environment.
