Job Title

A catastrophe modelling research analyst is responsible for evaluating models, conducting research and development projects, and collaborating with internal and external partners to identify and mitigate risk.


Key Responsibilities

* Assess the appropriateness of model components and their impact on business operations.
* Develop and implement effective solutions to complex problems using technical skills and knowledge.
* Presentation of findings and recommendations to stakeholders.


Requirements

* Professional experience in catastrophe modelling, risk analysis, or a related field.
* Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to diverse audiences.
* Curiosity and initiative to explore model assumptions and challenge vendor methodologies.


Education

* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Natural Hazards, Geophysics, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
