Details: Strathnairn School is opening in 2026 and we're looking for a passionate, people centred Community Engagement Officer to help us build deep, lasting relationships with families, children, and the wider Ginninderry community.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a school from the ground up, where your expertise in social work or community development will help create a welcoming, inclusive space that reflects the voices and values of those we serve.

Eligibility/Other Requirements
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
Highly Desirable
* Minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised qualification including social work, community development, health and or education.
* Demonstrated experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
* Strong understanding of early intervention, family support, and inclusive education principles.
* Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and navigating service systems.
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of ACT government services and community networks.
Notes: This is a temporary position available from 10 November 2025 until 06 November 2026 with the possibility of permanency.
