The main objective of this role is to provide financial oversight, leadership and guidance overseeing the process and inputs into the annual financial report, budgetary and forecasting process, rates, general ledger, assets, and compliance.About youYou will be a specialist in all financial matters and have extensive experience in working for large organisations, including a track record in leading a successful team to deliver financial services.
As a strong financial leader, you will pride yourself on meeting deadlines, developing, and achieving budgets, mentoring and continuous improvement across all program areas.You will need to have:A Tertiary qualification (Bachelor / Degree) in Accounting or a similar disciplineA professional accountancy qualification, either CPA or CAA minimum of seven (7) years experience in a similar roleAbility to obtain a National Criminal History CheckDrivers LicenceDesirable: Local government experienceYou will also need to demonstrate:An understanding of legislative compliance including but not limited to, Local Government Act and Regulations, Ministerial Guidelines, ICAC Act, FOI Act, and all other relevant guidance and legislation.Professional and technical expertise, to advise and support the business to achieve financial oversight, management and compliance.To apply:Click APPLY!
