Do you enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a hands-on role? We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic person to join the Sewer and Stormwater team in the role of Sewer / Stormwater Labourer.
* One (1) permanent, full-time position available.
* Remuneration of $2,225.88 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,671.06 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).
* On-call and overtime available pending operational requirements.
* Access to Council's Nine (9) Day Fortnight Arrangement.

Your new role:
In this role you will be part of the Waste and Stormwater team carrying out maintenance of the City's sewer, stormwater, and flood mitigation systems.
As the Sewer / Stormwater Labourer, you will be responsible for:
* Undertaking sewer, stormwater and flood maintenance duties including general labouring, choke clearing, service location, sewer main jetting and rodding, rehabilitation works and stormwater pit and pipe cleaning and levee bank and flood gate maintenance;
* You will also have the opportunity to undertake additional duties including traffic management and plant operation as required.
What you will need to succeed:
We are looking for someone with:
* Class C Driver's Licence (MR Licence is desirable);
* General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card);
* Demonstrated experience relevant to the role working as a labourer. Pipe laying and repairs experience is highly desirable;
* A strong commitment to Work, Health and Safety;
* Ability to work in a team environment; and
* Be committed to quality in your work and be willing to participate in an on-call roster.
In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation applicants are required to be vaccinated and provide evidence for Hepatitis A; Hepatitis B; and Q-Fever.
