This role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and excellent management skills to ensure the effective administration of the family's AUS based operations. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant with a strong background in business services.
This individual will report to the family's US based Family Office.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting of
* AUS based operations.
* Monitor cash flow and liquidity to meet the family's operational needs.
* Maintain strong relationships and coordination with the US Family Office to ensure
* comprehensive management of the family's affairs.
* Communicate financial information in a clear and understandable manner to family
* members.
* Assist in day-to-day operations of the family's personal affairs, including administrative
* tasks.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for family members regarding financial and
* operational matters.
Qualifications:
Business/Commerce degree in Accounting.
Completed CA/CPA qualification.
Minimum 5 years' experience in finance, operations, or a similar role, preferably within a
* family office or wealth management firm.
* Solid month end accounting skills
* Experience with preparing GST, FBT and payroll tax returns.
* Experience supporting agriculture or real estate operations a plus.
* Ability to use, navigate and troubleshoot common client accounting software packages (i.e.,
* QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero)
* Experience with most aspects of accounting and tax compliance, including preparation of
* financial statements, tax reconciliations, income tax returns and tax effect accounting for
* companies, trusts and tax consolidated groups.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High level of discretion and confidentiality.
