Family Violence Response Specialist
The Orange Door Program brings together community service organizations, Aboriginal services, and government agencies to deliver an integrated practice model and consolidated intake point for individuals and families experiencing family violence.
Job Description:
* Deliver quality, safe, and effective responses to children, young people, and families experiencing family violence.
* Provide intake support via phone, within the Orange Door site, and through outreach visits.
You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess and manage risk, develop intervention plans, and allocate referrals. You will also have the opportunity to work with clients who require support with childcare, education, and other essential services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification.
* Experience working in child, youth, and family welfare.
* Well-developed risk assessment and management skills.
* Understanding of the MARAM Framework, Best Interests Principles, and the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005.
As a Family Violence Response Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex cases, including those involving children, young people, and families at risk of harm. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, as well as external partners and referrers to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
