An outstanding leadership opportunity with CFA's finance function exists for a high energy, motivated and qualified Accountant. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, you will be CFA's authority on Corporate Reporting, with responsibility for all compliance requirements for the Financial Reporting and Operations function.
With a focus on high quality and timely financial and corporate reporting, the purpose of this role is to manage robust internal controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records and own the General Ledger. With an innovative and resourceful approach, you will lead the Finance Operations function of accounts payable, accounts receivable, debtor management and short term treasury activities. This role requires high levels of engagement with internal and external stakeholders, the ability to deal with competing priorities and expertise in implementing change and improvement initiatives.
About You:
We are seeking a professionally qualified accountant (CPA, CA or equivalent) with proven ability to ‘own' and lead a significant finance function to deliver high quality outcomes to support the delivery of a departmental strategy. Skilled in providing good judgement and professional advice to senior executive teams, you bring strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to successfully consult, influence and negotiate at all levels. Key to this role is the ability to successfully initiate, manage and implement change in a business unit.
In addition to exceptional technical ability in financial management and reporting you have experience in leading and improving a significant high transaction-based operation, working to clear and demanding service targets. Importantly, you demonstrate strong business acumen, financial credibility, and an ability to quickly identify and distil strategic and significant issues
