* Permanent Full Time,Monday – Friday,76 hours per fortnight, 9-day fortnight
* $ $48.26 p/hr + Overtime (LGIA Stream C C10A&R – C7A&R $83,393 to $92,976 per year depending on qualifications and experience, inclusive of Site Allowance, Tool Allowance and 10% A&R incentive payment*)
* $3,000 attraction payment upon successful completion of probationary period
* $500 retention payment every 6 months from successful completion of probationary period

Council is hiring qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to service and maintain a wide range of plant and vehicles, including earthmoving equipment, trucks, landscaping machinery, and light vehicles.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What We're Looking For
* Trade qualified Motor Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (and any other tickets/certificates)
* Hands-on experience with light/heavy vehicles & civil plant:
* Fault finding
* Auto electrical
* Repairs & overhauls
* Testing & modifications
* Tyres & servicing
* A strong safe work attitude
