Role Overview
The Road Safety Officer is responsible for coordinating and supporting safe and efficient outcomes for school communities. This role involves working with various stakeholders to achieve road safety objectives, while maintaining a high level of customer service quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the management of School Crossing Supervisor scheme operations, including human resource processes such as recruitment, selection, onboarding, payroll functions, and staff performance management.
* Support the implementation of road safety programs within the Road Safety unit and contribute to team objectives.
* Collaborate with departmental colleagues and community groups to deliver agreed road safety outcomes, ensuring compliance with customer service quality and performance standards.
Requirements
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, time management, organisational skills, adaptability, and commitment to promoting respect, inclusion and diversity.
* Hold a current C or CA class driver license.
* Possess a Working with children check (Blue Card).
* Pass a criminal history check prior to appointment.
