Eyecare Network is a community-focused optometry practice with a strong commitment to accessible eye care and the prevention of avoidable eye disease. We are currently seeking Optical Assistants and Optical Dispensers to join our friendly and supportive team.
Your responsibilities include:
* Delivering exceptional customer service to our patients
* Managing appointment bookings and assisting with front-of-house operations
* Performing preliminary testing using optometry equipment (training provided)
* Assisting patients with frame selection to suit their style, comfort, and visual needs
* Dispensing glasses, including lens recommendations and accurate measurements
* Providing clear information on products, lenses, and services
* Working closely with optometrists and team members to ensure smooth patient care
* Assisting with in-store photos and videos for social media content
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Friendly, reliable, and genuinely enjoys helping people
* Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment
* Willing to learn and grow within the optometry field
* Available to work mainly weekends, and some weekdays during busy periods.
(No Thursday late nights)
* Flexible to work across Canley Heights and Moorebank locations
* Bilingual in Vietnamese (required), as most of our patients are Vietnamese-speaking
Previous optical experience is preferred for Optical Dispenser roles but not required for Optical Assistant positions — training will be provided.
