About the Role
1 and One is seeking an experienced EL2 level Senior Project Manager to support a federal government client in delivering business or ICT and projects. This is a senior contract opportunity suited to a capable delivery professional who can manage competing priorities, work across policy, technical and business teams, and drive outcomes in a structured government environment.
You will be responsible for leading project delivery across scope, schedule, budget, governance, risk and stakeholder engagement, while ensuring project outcomes are delivered to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the planning and delivery of complex projects
* Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies
* Maintain accurate reporting, governance and project documentation
* Coordinate business, technical and vendor stakeholders to support delivery outcomes
* Support requirements definition, prioritisation and implementation planning
* Contribute to business case development, procurement activities and vendor management
* Ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timeframes and quality expectations
* Provide clear updates and advice to senior stakeholders
* Support strong project controls and effective delivery practices across the project lifecycle
Essential Experience
* Demonstrated experience delivering complex business or ICT projects
* Strong project management capability across planning, reporting, governance, budgeting and risk management
* Experience working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced and complex environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a broader delivery team
* 5+ years experience in federal government environments in comparable roles (EL2 level or higher)
* Experience with procurement and vendor management
* PRINCE2, Agile or similar project delivery certifications
Desirable Experience
* Experience in federal government law enforcement or intelligence environments
* Exposure to organisational change activities within project delivery
