Martin Luther Homes is a stand‐alone, not‐for‐profit aged care provider. We are proud of our newly established Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP). SDCP provides transitional support and aged care for people with very severe behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.

About the Role
As the SDCP Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist dementia care knowledge within our residential aged care community. You will guide, mentor, and support staff while ensuring the highest standards of evidence‐based nursing practice.
Your work will directly influence residents' wellbeing, independence, and quality of life, while shaping the evolution of best‐practice dementia care at Martin Luther Homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete advanced clinical assessments of cognitive, physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate tailored nursing care plans that promote dignity, safety, and independence.
* Lead and oversee clinical interventions that reduce responsive behaviours and enhance identity, belonging, and purpose.
* Collaborate with allied health professionals and medical practitioners to ensure truly holistic care.
* Mentor, train, and coach nursing and care staff in dementia‐specific strategies and communication approaches.
* Partner with families to ensure personal histories, preferences, and values shape all care planning.
* Ensure documentation meets regulatory, accreditation, and organisational requirements.
* Contribute to audits, research, and quality improvement projects to advance dementia care practice.
* Lead integration of dementia‐specific approaches into mainstream aged care activities to promote inclusion.
About You
* You are a compassionate and confident clinical leader who thrives in complex care environments. You bring high‐level clinical expertise alongside a strong commitment to person‐centred dementia care.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
* Demonstrated expertise in dementia care, ideally in residential aged care.
* Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring or educating staff.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across residents, families, and teams.
* Commitment to evidence‐based practice and ongoing professional development.
* Experience in clinical governance, program development, and quality improvement.
* Resilience, adaptability, and a passion for empowering older persons.
