About the role
We are seeking a commercially focused finance leader with strong FP&A capability, excellent analytical skills and the confidence to partner with senior stakeholders. This role will work closely with the CFO, COO, MD and the wider Leadership Team, providing analysis and insight that directly influences operational and strategic decisions.
This is a high impact, highly visible position suited to someone who enjoys being close to the business, improving performance and building financial tools that support effective decision making.
This is a newly created position reporting directly to the CFO where you will lead budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting across a multi-site environment.
Key areas of accountability and responsibility
Budgeting / Forecasting
* Build, manage and lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
* Develop mid-month and month-end forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities and recommending actions.
* Provide meaningful insights and analysis against weekly and monthly KPI's
Performance, insights and business partnering
* Track operational KPI's, identify cost drivers and provide recommendations to improve performance and cost efficiency
* Partner with operational leaders to strengthen financial understanding and accountability
* Ensure accurate cost allocation across revenue streams, locations and departments
Commercial and strategic support
* Deliver ad hoc analysis, financial modelling and strategic support for the CFO and wider senior leadership team.
* Assist in ROI assessments for capital expenditure and special projects.
* Support the month-end process when required.

About You
You are commercially minded, analytical and confident engaging with senior stakeholders. You enjoy solving problems, improving processes and helping business leaders make informed decisions.
You will bring:
* CIMA / CA / ACCA / CPA qualification
* At least 5 years' experience in FP&A, commercial finance or management accounting
* Strong Excel skills with experience in Power BI
* Demonstrated capability in budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
* Ability to challenge assumptions, lead conversations and influence outcomes
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy and structured problem solving
* Experience in a multi-site or operational environment (rental fleet experience is an advantage but not essential)
* Experience with AI in Finance would be highly regarded
