Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a proven and purpose driven nursing leader to join our executive team as Deputy Director of Nursing & Midwifery (DDoNM) at Gosford Hospital. This newly regraded role offers a unique opportunity to provide dedicated leadership at site level, shaping culture, care and performance in one of the District’s largest and most complex facilities.
Responsibilities
* Provide executive leadership in shaping and delivering nursing and midwifery strategy at facility and district level, aligned with organisational priorities and statewide directions.
* Lead and embed a high‑performing, values‑driven culture that prioritises safety, compassion, accountability and continuous improvement.
* Drive contemporary, evidence‑based models of care, ensuring strong clinical governance and excellence in safety, quality and patient outcomes.
* Provide senior operational oversight of access, demand management and patient flow, contributing to safe, efficient and patient‑centred care delivery.
* Work in close partnership with the Director of Nursing & Midwifery to strengthen professional governance, workforce planning, capability development and service innovation.
* Contribute as a senior executive to organisational decision‑making, performance improvement and sustainable service delivery across the hospital.
* Deputise for the Director of Nursing & Midwifery and undertake the role of Hospital Disaster Coordinator as required.
