Supply Planning Assistant (12-month Maternity Cover)
Position Overview
This role is based on site in Prahran and supports the planning, purchasing, inventory, and supply chain activities across the MAPM brand portfolio. This role is designed for someone looking to develop their career in merchandise planning, supply chain, procurement, or operations and provides exposure to forecasting, supplier coordination, inventory management, and logistics.
The successful candidate will work closely with teams across Product, Sales, Retail, Ecommerce, Finance, and Warehousing to help ensure products are available when customers need them.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Inventory Support
* Assist with demand forecasting across wholesale, retail, and ecommerce channels
* Help maintain inventory reports and stock performance tracking
* Support replenishment planning for core product lines
* Assist with analysing sales trends and inventory levels
* Help prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports
* Monitor stock availability and identify potential shortages
* Assist with purchase order creation and maintenance
* Support communication with suppliers regarding orders and delivery schedules
* Track production and delivery timelines
* Help maintain accurate purchasing records and product information
* Work with internal teams to ensure purchasing activities align with business needs
Logistics & Warehouse Support
* Assist with inbound shipment tracking and freight coordination
* Support warehouse teams by providing visibility of incoming stock
* Help coordinate stock movements and replenishment activities
* Assist with logistics and operational improvement projects
Systems & Reporting
* Maintain product and purchasing information within ERP systems
* Assist with item setup, product registration, and barcode management
* Prepare reports and dashboards to support decision-making
* Help identify opportunities to improve planning and procurement processes
* Support troubleshooting and system data accuracy
General Support
* Assist with store allocations and replenishment activities
* Help maintain buy plans and order tracking files
* Support weekly trade and inventory reporting
* Provide administrative and operational support to the Supply Chain team
Skills & Experience
* Relevant qualification in business, supply chain, logistics, commerce, or a related field
* Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
* 1-2 years' experience in procurement or supply planning
* Exposure to ERP systems or inventory management software
* Interest in retail, footwear, apparel, or consumer products industries
