The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Senior Track Design Engineer to join our Perth Airport-based Head Office.
The Role
As the Senior Track Design Engineer you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Track Design Engineers and Design Drafters for achieving the following;
* Track Infrastructure Management: Executing the track infra design projects, including, developing Track Designs, Yard Modifications/Remodelling, Level Crossings, Track Clearance compliance, Earthworks in Formation Design in Greenfield, and Brownfield environment as per Arc Network and/or PTA Standards and Specifications including RISSB Group Standards, Australian Standards, Track Engineering Safety Standards, and applications for ensuring the safe and reliable train operations. Develop and implement strategies through the designs to ensure the track infrastructure's longevity, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
* Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of track alignment design & knowledge of track engineering principles, standards, and best practices to guide and support the design, construction, and maintenance of track infrastructure assets. Provide expert advice on track geometry, alignment, materials, and drainage systems.
About You
To be successful in this role we need you to have
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications in track engineering or railway systems (Desirable).
* 12 years+ total experience in track engineering, including a strong track record in managing track design & engineering projects and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
* 6 years+ experience in Track/Permanent Way Design role, developing standards, specifications, processes, track element 3 D libraries for Track Designs, both in greenfield and brownfield with a construction and maintenance environment with good technical aptitude.
* 3 years + experience in Leading and managing a team of the Track Design Engineers, Design Consultants and Design Drafters for executing the Track Infra Design Projects both Greenfield and Brownfield environment,
* Good knowledge of Arc Network and/or PTA Standards and Specifications including RISSB Group Standards, Australian Standards, Track Engineering Safety Standards, and applications in Australian environment.
