Assistant Quality Assurance Engineer
* Full-Time (35hpw) Temporary Opportunity to June 2026
* Salary range $99,938- $110,271 + super

We are currently seeking an Assistant Quality Assurance Engineer to support major programs of work within our Tax Debt team in Revenue NSW Digital.
In this role, you will test, suggest changes and improve end to end quality of our digital products. This will include support in compliance monitoring, issue resolution and reporting to provide consistent quality assurance.
As a member of the team, you will:
* Undertake software testing by writing and executing functional and non-functional tests at each level
* Identify and raise defects with the squad to improve quality of systems development
* Provide support and advice with implementation of quality assurance recommendations to both external and internal stakeholders to ensure quality assurance objectives are met.
* Develop and maintain systems and processes including writing automation tests and reviewing release scripts across environments to ensure accuracy, currency and compliance
Skills and Experience Required:
* Writing and executing test scripts
* Supporting test plans, test summaries and status reports
* Ability to identify and create data in various formats
* Experience in executing User Interface and API Testing
* Ability to identify and create data in various formats
* A growth mindset to to learn new technologies and QA practices
* Experience in JIRA and confluence
* Experience in SQL and database related testing
* Functional experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, TDD, XP etc
