About The Role
We are seeking an Agronomist to join our Northern team on a permanent, full-time basis. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with colleagues to provide agronomic technical advice, products, and services that help clients thrive.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients for long-term gains. You will achieve allocated financial objectives and assist with product forecasting and inventory management.
You will also promote branch staff upskilling by providing technical advice and product recommendations, developing and fostering professional relationships with targeted groups of existing and new clients, identifying and cultivating new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients, and maximising promotional opportunities through demonstrations and trial work.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide onsite agronomic and technical support to clients, recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their business.
* Achieve allocated financial objectives and assist with product forecasting and inventory management.
* Promote branch staff upskilling by providing technical advice and product recommendations.
* Develop and foster professional relationships with targeted groups of existing and new clients.
* Identify and cultivate new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients.
* Maximise promotional opportunities, including assisting at field days and farmer meetings with demonstrations and trial work.
Requirements

* Have a background in disciplines such as crop, weed, disease, pasture, broadacre, cotton, and horticulture.
* Have a proven track record in sales and previous experience in an agronomy role.
* Have an ability to provide high-level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current growers.
* Have a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field.
* Thrive in a flexible and agile working environment.
