We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive the growth of First Nations business and tourism in the region.
* Develop strategic partnerships with Indigenous peoples and businesses to promote economic opportunities.
* Facilitate dialogue between government agencies and Indigenous stakeholders to foster commercial development.
* Provide guidance on business planning, collaboration, and support for Indigenous entrepreneurs.
* Address emerging issues related to Indigenous tourism, ensuring a positive public image.
* Design and implement initiatives aligned with government strategies and tourism objectives.
* Contribute to program development that fosters economic growth, particularly in Indigenous tourism.
* Strong background in business development and commercialization, preferably in tourism.
* High-level governance, administrative, and reporting skills, including ministerial briefings.
* Confident working with diverse stakeholders, including First Nations elders, local government, councils, and tourism operators.
* Financial acumen and experience mentoring or supporting small businesses.
