This department is seeking a motivated Student Engineer (Electrical) to join their Nerang office location. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you'll gain hands-on experience in the management and maintenance of electrical and ITS assets while building practical skills that support your engineering studies.

Responsibilities
* Assist with the design, planning, and delivery of ITS, electrical, and infrastructure projects.
* Support asset data management, maintenance planning, and commissioning of new assets.
* Provide technical input on electrical engineering aspects of ITS, traffic signals, road lighting, and related systems.
* Contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams and help deliver projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
* Prepare technical reports and provide clear advice to stakeholders.
* Apply asset management strategies, including refurbishment and maintenance planning.
Successful candidate
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or dual-degree equivalent.
* Interested in applying engineering theory to practical projects in a dynamic, real-world environment.
* A clear communicator, both written and verbal, who can work well in a team setting.
* Eager to develop technical knowledge while contributing to projects that improve safety and efficiency on Queensland's road network.
Mandatory requirements
* Enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering or dual-degree equivalent.
* Current Class C driver's licence.
* Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
* Ability to provide and use suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Ability to undergo and pass a Criminal History Screening.
