The health setting in the Northern Territory offers unique and diverse opportunities as well as clinical presentations like no other in Australia.Short-term accommodation may be available, subject to availability.Relocation assistance of up to $2000 is available for costs incurred moving to Darwin.Pharmacy TeamThe pharmacy team is a multi-disciplinary team providing medicines management services as an integral part of the broader NT Health Care Team. Striving to optimise the quality use of medicines through innovative patient care to improve the health of Territorians.The pharmacy department is modern and progressive spanning across two campuses, with a team of 40 pharmacists, 27 pharmacy technicians, and 4 intern pharmacists. We have a strong focus on workforce culture and commitment to professional development.Services provided by the pharmacy department include,Ward based clinical and drug information servicesIn-patient and out-patient dispensingMedication Safety and AMSRegional pharmacy - providing clinical pharmacy services to remote health centres, their patients and staff living in the outback.RDH Pharmacy operates a full service from 8am – 4:21pm Monday to Friday, and a limited service from 8am - 4pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.PRH Pharmacy operates a full service from 8am – 4:21 Monday to Friday and dispensary service from 9am to 1pm Saturdays.Hours of work are 8am – 4:21pm, including the requirement to participate in weekend and on-call rosters.Royal Darwin and Palmerston Regional HospitalsRoyal Darwin Hospital (RDH) is a fully accredited tertiary teaching hospital and the largest hospital in the Northern Territory with over 400 beds. In addition to standard medical, surgical and paediatric services, specialty areas include;Aboriginal healthRenal medicineCritical care units (both adult and neonatal)Tropical diseasesMental health servicesHyperbaric medicineThe Palmerston Regional Hospital (PRH) is a Level 3 Hospital. Phase 1 is a 116 bed facility with future capacity to expand.
