What's the role?
Rock-solid relationships are at the heart of every commercial banking decision we make. In this strategic role you'll work closely with Relationship Managers to make sure those connections are second to none.
Based in one of our key North Queensland hubs, this role can be located in Townsville, Cairns, Rockhampton, Mackay or Emerald.
Our Assistant Relationship Managers play a really important role in generating high-quality deals and managing business banking portfolios in both the commercial, property and agri-business sectors – helping with everything from credit submissions and deal structuring to financial analysis. Your financial insights will be put to good use, spotting any potential risks involved with existing or new clients and their financial requests. You'll conduct financial analysis and support the Relationship Managers with regular portfolio reviews to make sure the best quality credit submissions are maintained, while making sure the relationships we have with our clients are kept in just as good shape.
What do I need?
* Experience in banking, finance or lending, with the ability to analyse financial performance and business risk is considered advantageous
* Confident communicator able to engage customers and stakeholders, guiding discussions and influencing quality decisions.
* Collaborative team player with sound judgement, able to work decisively to deliver great outcomes for customers.
* Driven, energetic, and resilient, with an open mindset toward tackling complex tasks
* A degree in commerce, accounting, or finance is advantageous.
* A genuine passion for supporting regional business across commercial, property and agri-business
