Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Farming Area Supervisor to oversee the success of our farming activities in the Echuca region. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with supervisory experience in agribusiness or horticulture to take on a key role in ensuring that farming activities are carried out according to the farming plan and timeline.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing weekly staff, equipment, and contractor requirements, as well as supervising irrigation staff, systems, and infrastructure. To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a row cropping business or production farming background (Broad Acre Cropping preferred) with supervisory experience;
* A working knowledge of GPS systems, John Deere and Case tractors, row crop equipment, and self-propelled sprayers;
* Sound knowledge of subsurface drip and centre pivot irrigation is desired as is Intermediate level of computer use;
Responsibilities:
