About the role
The Fleet Procurement Officer supports the efficient operation of the City's Fleet Department by leading the delivery of high‐quality procurement processes and programs to deliver the Fleet Capital replacement program as well as procurement of planned and preventive fleet procurement, assist with administrative services where required and assist with fleet management systems and daily operational activities.
This role would appeal to someone who enjoys being at the centre of operational decision‐making, with a strong mix of strategy, systems and hands‐on delivery.
Key responsibilities
* Leads the contract and tender process for the Capital replacement program, ensuring compliance and administration functions are met across the Fleet Department.
* Ensures reliable and efficient operation of all fleet management systems to support data‐driven decision‐making.
* Liaises with other staff for efficient communications in administering the Fleet Management Systems and workshop operations.
* Ensures timely and accurate data entry, integrity checks and system auditing.
* Supports operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for workflow automation and process improvement.
What we are looking for
* Completion of Certificate III in Parts Interpreting, Logistics or Business Management or working towards (desirable)
* Demonstrated purchasing experience including leading procurement processes, vendor evaluations and invoicing; ensuring compliance with process and policy is met.
* Experience in working in Fleet, plant, equipment industry.
* Current National or Federal Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old).
* Current C Class Drivers Licence
