The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
As an Insurance Repair Estimator / Supervisor, you’ll:
- Conduct site inspections to assess damage and quantify repair requirements
- Prepare detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for insurance repair jobs
- Liaise with insurers, policyholders, and subcontractors/trades to coordinate the repair process
- Plan, schedule, and supervise on‑site works, ensuring high‑quality outcomes
- Monitor and manage job progress, including variations, timelines, and budget
- Uphold WHS standards and ensure all site safety requirements are met
- Act as a client‑facing representative – communicate effectively with homeowners and stakeholders, keeping them informed and engaged
- Use our estimating and project‑management software to track and report on KPIs
What We’re Looking For – Key Requirements
- Proven experience in estimating and supervising repair works (insurance repair experience is highly desirable)
- Valid White Card (or equivalent construction safety certification)
- Experience interpreting scopes of works and working with building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time‑management skills
- Proficiency in technology, including mobile devices, estimating software, and project management tools
- Strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering quality
- (Preferable) A Site Supervisor licence, depending on the regional regulatory requirements
