Experienced Service Manager – Wonderkids Early Learning Centre (Walkerston)

Wonderkids Early Learning Centre in Walkerston is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Service Manager who is ready to lead a passionate team, embrace challenges, and create a safe, engaging, and high-quality environment for children.
About the Role
This is a key leadership role where you’ll be the driving force of the centre. You’ll work closely with educators, families, and the wider community to create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.
A strong commitment to child safety is essential. You will champion and embed child safe standards across all aspects of the service, ensuring these principles remain at the forefront of daily practice and decision-making.
Your day-to-day may include:
* Leading, mentoring, and inspiring your team to deliver outstanding care and education.
* Embedding and upholding child safe standards, ensuring a culture of safety, protection, and wellbeing for every child.
* Driving compliance and continuous quality improvement, with strong knowledge of the NQF.
* Building strong, trusting relationships with families and the community.
* Recruiting, onboarding, and supporting new team members.
* Collaborating with the leadership team on strategy, events, and community engagement.
* Problem-solving with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
* Celebrating team successes and fostering a positive, engaging workplace culture.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who:
* Holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
* Has proven leadership experience in Early Childhood Education & Care.
* Demonstrates a strong commitment to child safety and safeguarding practices.
* Understands and can implement child safe standards in daily operations.
* Is a collaborative team player who brings out the best in others.
* Thrives under pressure and enjoys problem-solving.
* Brings warmth, professionalism, and passion to their role.
