As an Operational Risk Consultant, you'll help uplift the way our Retail Insurance teams understand and manage risk. You'll join a team that's hands on, collaborative and trusted to guide the business through the complexities of operational and compliance risk. This is a permanent full-time role based in multiple locations across Australia.
What You'll Do
* Support the uplift of operational risk maturity by applying IAG's Risk Management Strategy, Framework and methodologies.
* Partner with business owners to identify, assess and manage operational and compliance risks across Retail Insurance.
* Conduct control testing, risk based assurance reviews and help shape continuous improvement opportunities.
* Coordinate and triage risk events, issues and escalations while supporting timely investigations and reporting.
* Maintain accurate risk data in ServiceNow and contribute to risk forums, compliance plans and business unit reporting.
* Coach stakeholders to build risk capability and promote a strong, proactive risk culture.
* Assist with risk profiling, control self assessment planning and regulatory breach management activities.
What You'll Bring
* Experience in operational risk, compliance or assurance within insurance, banking or financial services.
* Ability to analyse risk data, identify root causes and provide practical, evidence based insights.
* Confidence engaging with senior leaders and influencing decisions in a fast paced environment.
* Understanding of key regulatory obligations and how effective controls support compliance.
* Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow is advantageous
