Financial Strategy and Business Intelligence

* Continuing, full-time (part-time may be considered)
* $ 71,725 to $ 77,668 per annum (HEO4)
* Plus 17% employer superannuation
* Salary packaging options are available
* 20 days family and domestic violence leave available per annum
* 20 days gender affirmation leave per annum
* 10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum
* 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum
* Armidale based role. Flexible or hybrid work arrangements available

About the role

As Accounts Administrator, you'll ensure accurate processing of financial transactions across accounts receivable, payable, and banking functions within UNE's Finance division. You'll be the go-to expert for internal and external stakeholders, processing payments and refunds, reconciling accounts, managing debt, and maintaining compliance with policies and legislation. Working independently under the guidance of the Assistant Manager Finance Operations, you'll analyse reports, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to continuous improvement of our financial processes. About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Hands-on experience in accounts receivable, debt management, and bank reconciliations, with a strong understanding of how financial systems work in practice
* The ability to hit the ground running, working autonomously, managing your own workload, and consistently delivering accurate results to tight deadlines
* A natural ability to connect with people, whether you're helping a colleague navigate a tricky process or liaising with external suppliers and auditors
* Strong organisational skills and a knack for keeping multiple balls in the air without dropping any, even when things get busy
* Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential financial matters
* A curious, adaptable mindset, you're not fazed by change, you actively look for ways to improve processes, and you bring solutions, not just problems
* A collaborative spirit and the confidence to work both as part of a team and independently when needed

Finance, Strategy and Business Intelligence (FSBI) consist of two main areas: Finance and Controlled Entities. The division's vision is to lead UNE's future with courage, by embracing emerging technologies and data-driven insights, including the delivery of accurate and timely financial information to support informed decision-making across the University.
