Transport Logistics Coordinator
Our organization requires a skilled professional to coordinate and manage the transportation of personnel between villages, mine sites, and local communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of employees while maintaining a high level of service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and manage the transportation contract including implementing new services, scheduling, and disruption management.
* Complete on-call requirements for disruptions outside of regular working hours.
* Support the management of the transportation contract, including coaching and mentoring front-line drivers and contractor management staff.
* Analyze and implement improvements to transportation systems, processes, and procedures within the transportation team.
* Provide specialist/functional expertise to leadership on transportation-related management systems, processes, practices, and controls.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Hold an Australian driver's license.
* 2 years of relevant heavy vehicle and/or logistics experience (or equivalent in areas such as rail/shipping).
* Ability to build meaningful partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to work in a small team environment.
* Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environment, and community.
* High attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Drive to continuously improve.
