Vacuum Forming Machine Operator – Morning & Afternoon Shift (Casual to Full-Time, Lara, VIC)

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, Machine Operator to join our morning (6am - 2.30pm) or afternoon shift (2.30 PM – 11 PM) Monday to Friday (Availability and flexibility for both shifts would be preferred for coverage purposes). In this role, you will operate computer-controlled vacuum forming and trimming machinery, ensuring optimal performance and product quality. This is a long-term, full-time position with opportunities for skill development in a stable, thriving business.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, monitor vacuum forming and trimming machines (robot)
Put and removing parts from robot
Perform quality checks
Execute efficient mould and jig changes to meet production schedules
Safely operate a forklift for material handling (loading/unloading) - Preferred not essential
Adhere to strict safety and housekeeping standards
Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience in machine operation in a repetitive environment
- Forklift license (preferred, not essential)
- Quality Focused - have an eye for quality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety
- Physically capable of lifting up to 20kg and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility for occasional overtime (weekdays/Saturdays)
