DESCRIPTION
Western NSW Community Legal Centre Inc. (WNSWCLC) invites applications for a proactive and highly organised Receptionist to be a vital part of our Western Women’s Legal Support (WWLS) team. This role supports the professional delivery of legal and non-legal services by ensuring seamless front-of-house operations, enabling our solicitors and caseworkers to focus on delivering essential client services
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in keeping the community legal centre running smoothly by:
* Serving as the first point of contact, creating a welcoming, supportive, and trauma-informed environment for women and children affected by domestic and family violence.
* Managing all reception operations, including greeting clients, handling calls, booking appointments, coordinating outreach schedules, and maintaining calendars.
* Executing a range of administrative and office tasks—managing mail, filing, data entry, booking travel and accommodation, and overseeing supplies and inventory.
* Facilitating communication and smooth information flow between clients, solicitors, caseworkers, support workers, and external stakeholders.
* Supporting operations related to outreach, including documentation, logistics, and vehicle coordination.
* Assisting the Principal Solicitor, Senior Solicitor, and Executive Officer with administrative duties like correspondence, reports, minutes, and general office support.
* Upholding WNSWCLC’s values of respect, confidentiality, collaboration, and client empowerment, and fostering a caring, respectful team culture.
ABOUT YOU
As the Receptionist, you’ll bring:
* Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office and database systems, underpinned by exceptional organisational and multi-tasking capabilities
* Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, delivering clear and compassionate communication with diverse and vulnerable clients.
* Initiative, discretion, sound judgment, and reliability in sensitive and high-demand environments.
* A respectful, culturally sensitive approach to interacting with clients from varied socio-economic backgrounds.
* A current Provisional or Unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
* A willingness to undergo a Criminal History Check before commencing employment.
