Casual Academic Role
As a Casual Academic, you will play a pivotal role in supporting pedagogical excellence and collaborating with the Unit Coordinator to design and deliver impactful UC assistance in a large first year unit that addresses contemporary business communication challenges.
* You will be responsible for briefing other tutors by preparing comprehensive guides, notes, and clarifications for relevant modules, thereby enhancing their preparedness.
* Develop high-quality lecture content, tutorial activities, or weekly learning materials that align with unit learning outcomes and foster engaging student experiences.
* Contribute as a guest speaker in the unit's lectures and/or tutorials, sharing your expertise and insights to enrich student learning.
* Play a key role in incorporating global First Nations perspectives into unit content, promoting cultural sensitivity and awareness.
* Ensure learning materials are current, relevant, and reflective of contemporary social and cultural issues, thereby promoting a nuanced understanding among students.
